I have always enjoyed painting since a small child and at last have the time and commitment to pursue this further.

I trained as a teacher and studied painting as a main course. After completing this I studied for a further year and completing a B.Ed. in which I majored in Art as well as Education.

Since retiring from teaching I have spent much more time painting. I visit exhibitions and particularly enjoy open studio events where you can talk to other artists.

I have regularly attended classes and workshops to improve basic skills in drawing and experimenting with different media.

Landscapes inspire me most. In my pictures I strive to create the atmosphere of a place and the scale of the scenery. Light plays an important part of this and I love painting huge skies.
